Exciting renovations without infringing on the fun

After 10 years of successful operation of its Family Aquatic Center, the City was ready to expand. The City hired Stantec, the original designers, to add a lazy river and waterslide complex. This is the first bowl and tube slide complex of this type in Minnesota and is the centerpiece of the expanded facility.

With an eye toward sustainability, our design incorporated several features to save energy, material, and water, including variable frequency drives, premium efficiency motors, low-maintenance and durable building materials and finishes, stormwater retention for on-site infiltration, and low-maintenance landscaping selections.

Our designers planned carefully so that no revenueor funwas sacrificed during construction. The expansion added unique features that appeal to the young and the young at heart, making this a top destination for local families.
