Proposing a mixed-use development to feature 3,450 single-family homes, a shopping center, and approximately 75 miles of trails
Located on 26,417 pristine, rugged acres in the Tehachapi Mountains—60 miles north of Los Angeles and 30 miles south of Bakersfield—Tejon Mountain Village is a proposed residential, commercial, and recreation development that will feature two 18-hole golf courses, 3,450 single-family homes, a 160,000 square foot shopping center, approximately 75 miles of biking, hiking, and horseback riding trails, an equestrian center, and a maximum of 750 hotel rooms.
Approximately 80 percent of Tejon Mountain Village—21,335 acres—will remain undeveloped, making it one of California’s most environmentally sensitive mountain resort communities. Because of this, our design incorporates the preservation of the existing natural environment to the maximum extent feasible. The remaining 5,082 acres will be developed with a mix of residential, commercial, and recreational uses. The development footprint is situated within a 7,867 acre envelope to allow flexibility; however, site criteria will limit maximum disturbance to the 5,082 acres.
