Fossil fuel free, all electric residential high-rise provides unrivaled amenities and views of downtown Boston
Boston Properties wanted their new high-rise residence to be a landmark building on both the Cambridge skyline and in how it operated. They reached out to our team of architects, interior designers, and branding professionals to help.
Our design blends the relationship between indoor and outdoor by accenting a neutral palette of luxury finishes with intentional moments of biophilic graphics and live plantings. We created a soaring pass-through lobby that connects to retail and a mezzanine, which hosts the leasing office and a family lounge with a treehouse play structure. Other features include an active lounge, fitness options, co-working space, dog run, and terrace on Level 6 along with a garden lounge, library, entertaining kitchen, and views to Downtown Boston, Back Bay, and beyond from a sky deck on Level 37.
Rising over 450 feet (137 metres) to become the tallest building in Cambridge, 121 Broadway establishes a landmark on the Kendall Square skyline. The LEED Gold tower’s operation is fossil fuel free, all electric, and offers 439 units, with 20 percent dedicated affordable and 5 percent to middle income housing. Fifteen Inclusionary Housing Program units contain three-bed set asides for families.
