Growing up in a rural region of Western Australia, Alice’s interest in botany and environmental science was sparked at an early age while exploring the bush and canoeing in the Warren River. Now an accomplished principal botanist, she leads our Australian Flora and Vegetation team. Her work involves coordinating and undertaking flora and vegetation surveys, monitoring programs, and environmental reporting.
Specializing in the flora of the arid zones of Western Australia, Alice has worked as a lead botanist on numerous large-scale projects, often in remote and challenging environments. Working primarily in the mining sector across expansion and renewables projects, she oversees appropriate techniques, analyses, and interpretation of results to inform environmental impact assessments.
In her free time, Alice enjoys traveling with her family in their caravan, being outdoors snorkeling and bike riding, and getting to all of the remote and beautiful places in Western Australia.
