A first generation space to attract and retain new talent
FourPoint Energy is a private exploration and production company previously located in the Tech Center of Denver, Colorado. When they moved to the newly-constructed First Bank building in Cherry Creek, the opportunity to create a first generation space came to light. They wanted an office building that attracts and retains talented people, while reflecting FourPoint’s continual success in the energy industry.
As FourPoint is an oil and gas company, it was important to use materials were reflective of their work and culture. So, we created an industrial aesthetic by employing steel, stone, and wood throughout the space. Ceiling heights were maximized through finishing the ceiling close to the structure and exposing the systems that run throughout the building. Steel beam wraps conceal actual fireproofed beams, creating a polished and finished open ceiling concept.
A beautiful and planar connecting stair was added at the exterior to connect the two floors. The minimal steel stringer and cantilevering stair treads create a sculptural element that can be viewed from inside as well as out. Wood used on ceilings, wall treatments, and open stair treads add warmth and texture to the space. Now complete, FourPoint’s new headquarters aids in the attraction and retention of talent, while reflecting the energy company’s continual success.
