Working to make Canada’s largest in-construction energy storage facility a reality
In an effort by Canada’s federal and provincial governments to build the largest battery storage project in the country, the 250-megawatt Oneida Energy project will support Ontario's clean-energy grid by drawing and storing electricity when power demand is low and returning it to the system during higher demand. To help make this a reality, we provided an environmental assessment and are supporting the client during construction.
Our team completed a Minor Transmission Facility Class Environmental Assessment for the Oneida Energy storage project's interconnected battery storage system. The assessment summarized baseline environmental information collected through background and supporting technical studies which encompassed cultural heritage resources land use review, natural heritage resources, and noise.
To help bring the Oneida Energy project to completion, our team is continuing to support the client for this project’s environmental construction and permitting needs.
