Relocating a threatened species ahead of schedule and under difficult weather conditions
“You need to use these guys on all of our projects.” At least that’s what this client said to another team member. Once we got the green light to move forward on this project, we hit the ground running! Our project manager met with the prime consultant, discussed the schedule, and reported that we already had people in the field. Mobilizing our team as quickly as we did left a lasting impression on the client.
We resolved gopher tortoise issues on the I-95 design-build project by fulfilling a role that was not met by the original sub-consultant. Our team stepped in and completed the relocation ahead of schedule under difficult weather conditions. Tortoises cannot be relocated for three consecutive days if temperatures fall below 50 degrees.
