Improving the effectiveness of European Union interventions having direct or indirect effects on environmental sustainability
In this worldwide project for the European Commission, it’s our goal to ensure that environmental and climate issues are adequately mainstreamed into the European Union’s development cooperation and that efforts in the areas of Environment, Climate Change, and Biodiversity (ECCB) are tracked and reported on. To do this, we are part of a consortium that provides technical assistance services designed to improve the effectiveness of European Union interventions meant to directly and indirectly affect environment and climate issues through thematic and geographic programs.
Throughout this ongoing project, we aim to strengthen technical capacities through sharing of knowledge, providing support to targeted audiences at various stages of the cycle of operations, supporting and screening those operations, and developing guidance materials as well as products. To increase awareness among European Commission staff and partner countries, we’ve developed a communication and awareness-raising strategy, are preparing communication materials, managing and animating communication networks on environment and climate change. Ultimately, we’re aiming to contribute to poverty eradication, sustainable development, and green growth through this worldwide initiative.
