Whether it was exploring how design works while he played in the sandbox or drawing a home for his parents when he was in high school, Steve always knew he wanted to be an architect. Building this passion into a career, he now has more than 30 years of experience delivering complex K-12, higher education, and academic research facilities as well as a range of student recreation projects. He’s worked on sports-assembly and conference centers as well as athletic master plans. In fact, Steve likes to say that often the athletic field is also the classroom.
As a principal, Steve is committed to providing each client with a unique combination of large-scale project experience and the personality and creativity of a highly-specialized international design studio. He most enjoys partnering with his clients and his team to maximize creativity and innovation while successfully meeting schedule, budget, and programmatic requirements—like his collaboration with Houston Independent School District on the Sam Houston Math, Science, and Technology Center.
When he’s not at work, you can usually find Steve fishing, saltwater kayaking, or simply relaxing out on the water.
