A carpenter’s daughter, Amy is no stranger to construction and sawdust—she grew up interacting with and curious about her built environment. Today, as a licensed architect, she brings that same curiosity to her work as a higher education principal in our Plano, Texas office.
Driven to motivate and inspire others, Amy is known for her ability to think projects through holistically. She has almost two decades of experience working as a principal, project manager, and project architect on a variety of higher education, community college, and K-12 projects, ranging from $2 million to over $100 million.
As principal, Amy works closely with the client to understand needs and desires, campus standards, and user requirements then translates this information into built form. She coordinates large, multifaceted design teams to keep the process specialist driven, budget conscious, and quality controlled—all tying back to programmatic goals and design intent. Her goal for each project is to deliver a functional and aesthetically pleasing building to a wildly happy client.
When she isn’t busy leading her latest higher education project, Amy loves to travel with her husband and spend time with her daughters.
