A community hub for soccer enthusiasts
Displaced by the Northern East Link Project, part of Victoria’s Big Build, local soccer clubs needed a new home. Development Victoria set out to remedy this challenge with the Templestowe Sports Complex, which repurposes an unused driving range into a new soccer facility. They engaged us as part of the team to provide multidisciplinary services to help realise their vision.
To create this community space, fifteen of our specialists came together—astute project management and a collaborative approach were critical to this project’s success. Drawing on a range of services from traffic, environmental, geotechnical, water, buildings, through to digital engineering, we delivered a design for the facility that integrates the natural environment, the Yarra River, one of Melbourne’s iconic waterways.
A community asset that will be used for years to come, the facility includes three new soccer fields, designed to create optimal playing surfaces for matches, along with training, and easy-access parking. At the heart of complex, the pavilion offers changing rooms, meeting spaces, and amenities for players.
