A complete renovation of an undersized and aging water treatment plant

After 70 years of uninterrupted service to the City of Toledo (and surrounding communities), the Collins Park Water Treatment Plant was up for review. In April 2013, the City got the ball rolling on a complete renovation of the undersized and aging water treatment plant.

We’re part of the professional construction management team for the City of Toledo. Our construction management services are being put to use in 24 projects with a total capital improvement budget $300 million over a ten-year period.

Our part in this project includes design reviews and coordination for a number of improvements: a chlorine disinfection facility, a roof replacement, changes to the low-service pumping station, short-term HAB improvements, and spent-lime lagoon improvements. We’ll also coordinate existing utilities, inspect construction, and site plan.

Nearly all of the City’s treatment and pumping facilities will see capital improvements—ensuring a continued useful operating life.
