Incorporating sustainable strategies in the pursuit of LEED Silver accreditation
When the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) decided to consolidate and expand its services in the Princeton area, they looked to us for help. This new pediatric medical office building would expand CHOP’s presence in Southern New Jersey with physical and occupational therapy as well as x-ray services.
Our job? Design a new building including all necessary parking and site amenities and incorporate sustainable strategies to pursue LEED Silver certification.
The initial phase is a single story building. Future phases will add a 25,000 square foot addition and a 50,000 square foot second story. Eventually, the two-story building will culminate in a wide range of services and tests to children throughout the region.
