Facility design takes inspiration from the services it provides

When the Adams County Fleet and Public Works facility no longer met the County’s needs, they engaged our team to evaluate their current facility, equipment, and staffing needs as well as develop a long-term site master plan and design a new, efficient, and cost-effective facility.

The goal was to create a facility that is both welcoming to the public and Adams County clients and, likewise, celebrates their industrial and automotive occupation, looks to the technology of the future, and instills employee pride. Another influence on the form and appearance of the facility was the nature and context of services provided by the Adams County Fleet and Public Works departments, particularly those services related to the rural context of a majority of the County’s geographic area.

The three-building fleet maintenance and public works campus addresses critical space needs while embodying the core values of both the Fleet and Public Works teams, paying homage to the community it serves.
