Strategic advice to construction businesses to help them navigate the operational challenges of onsite projects
While many construction sites across the UK remain open, challenges with materials supply chain, site constraints and sub-contractors mean that many of our clients are taking action now to safeguard against the impact of site closures in the near future. We’re seeing an increasing focus on front end services to get as many projects as possible “shovel ready” for post-COVID-19 pandemic. Our Stantec team is helping them to achieve this, by managing risk, judging priorities and putting strategies in place to help them keep to programme.
Utilising our digital services, we work with our clients through their list of live projects and sites to help identify new opportunities, priority actions, and pragmatic advice as to which services can still be delivered on-site safely, and those where we can offer remote solutions.
We offer a call-off list of available resources across all of the construction phases and have set up project focused ‘One Team’ workshops. For one client this means providing technical drawings, promotional infographics, GIS mapping to inform new and existing projects and balancing on and offsite surveys.
The result, in this case, is that we have helped our client optimise services required on the 6 live projects and are working closely with them to develop the business case to secure over 20 existing pipeline opportunities for the future.
Working in partnership with our clients, Stantec is helping to enable our client’s success through the utilisation of best practices know-how and tools to keep projects moving forward during the COVID-19 pandemic, while also keeping our teams and site personnel safe.
