Auckland Council Technical Services Panel

Auckland Council often have a large volume of resource consent applications to process—to alleviate some of the pressure, they set up a technical services panel for industry professionals to help.

We provide a team of specialists to help the Council with processing resource consent applications, including reviewing technical reports and associated documents, attending meetings and site visits, and providing independent advice. As panel members, we help Council to decide whether the assessments undertaken by applicants are adequate and aligned with best practice approaches. We’ve been reviewing a wide range of resource consent applications including subdivision, building, earthworks, stream consents, and coastal water or discharge permits. We’ve also been providing advice on issues such as stormwater treatment, on-site wastewater systems, water quality, wetland assessments, streams and fish passage, ecological restoration, and environmental management plans. Our team works under tight deadlines to ensure that Council processes consents within the allocated statutory timeframes.
