    Perth, Western Australia

A building designed to embrace heritage and connect communities

The heritage-listed 137 St, Georges Terrace building, is located on the iconic strip of Western Australia’s central business district.

Curtin University saw the opportunity to call this spot their Technical School building home, offering the university to maintain a presence within the city to host events. We played a role in delivering a Single Point of Contact service to fitting out the space to produce flexible learning areas, a dividable multi-purpose gallery with an A/V screen and boardroom.

Stantec’s sustainability team enabled Curtin to achieve a 6* Green Star Interiors V1.2 rating which reduced greenhouse gas emissions by 41%.

Our approach to sustainable design services included a lifecycle analysis that led the fit-out design and guided material selection, which retained the use of existing fabric. The goal was to utilise new sustainable materials and products to support a low environmental impact.
