How do you combine a passion for travel with a love of engineering? For electrical engineer Cheryl White, the answer was easy—become a specialist in airside electrical design. The opportunity to work on a major project for the Wabush Airport in her home province of Newfoundland and Labrador was just one of the unexpected rewards of focusing her career in this sector.
Not one to limit herself though, Cheryl is versatile and recognized by her peers for her dedication and quality in the buildings sector also—even receiving compliments from a client’s internal review team for her level of detail and quality on a project she delivered.
When she’s not designing critical electrical systems, Cheryl likes to disconnect and spend time on the many nature trails in the Ottawa area. Unplugging from technology allows her to come back to her work with a new perspective, often sorting out complex problems as she hikes.
