Martin leads the Transportation and Community Development teams in Quebec, which are composed of 600 employees specializing in roads, bridges, airports, ports, urban infrastructure, transportation planning, dams, public transit, rail, water, urban planning, and landscape architecture.
With the Company since 1994, Martin is motivated by a passion to build. He has also achieved success abroad, quickly seeing his role evolve throughout the years. His ability to lead teams, coupled with his facility for instilling direction and vision adapted to market realities, have enabled him to brilliantly carry through contracts related to particularly complex challenges.
In his view, the future of transportation must focus on an increasingly important role for the development of public transit networks, as well as electrical transportation along with self-driving and smart vehicles.
Martin is an active member of the World Road Association’s (PIARC) technical committees. He is also a director of Polytechnique Montréal’s Alumni Foundation, whose mission is to further the university’s reputation of excellence as a world-renowned engineering learning institution. Martin is deeply involved in his community and has sat for many years on the Quebec Order of Engineers (OIQ) Professional Excellence Recognition Committee.
