As a North American subject matter expert and go-to-person for all things hydrology, surface water, and geomorphology related, Sheldon’s specialties are often called upon for hydrological, hydrogeological, and wetland projects. He’s a published author and respected speaker on topics related to stormwater assessment and management, groundwater monitoring and instrumentation, and climate influences on wetland performance in the both the mining and oil and gas sectors.
His project experience ranges from environmental assessments, permit applications, site restoration designs, and water quality analysis and modeling to the assessment, engineering, and creation of wetlands. As the surface water lead for the Greenstone Gold Mine’s (GGM) Hardrock Open Pit project, Sheldon was instrumental in helping Stantec obtain approvals for the environmental assessment under the Ontario Environmental Assessment Act, which is only the third of its kind in Ontario history.
Outside of the office, Sheldon enjoys woodworking and tapping his maple trees at the cottage.
