Philip is a chartered engineer and a fellow of both the Institution of Civil Engineers and the Institution of Structural Engineers. He has over 35 years of experience in all aspects of building and civil engineering design and construction, and he currently leads the Oxford Building Structures team.
His technical design work has included embankments, highways, main drainage, building structures, and foundations. He has also prepared flood risk assessments, transportation assessments, travel plans, and public realm designs. His particular field of interest is in structural refurbishment projects.
Philip has worked on many of the historic buildings in the Oxford area, including the Radcliffe Camera, Bodleian Library, Natural History Museum, and Blenheim Palace. He has also overseen a number of projects undertaken for the Oxford Colleges, including Trinity, Corpus Christi, St Hugh’s, St Johns, and Magdalen.
Outside of work, Philip might be hill walking, running, watching football, or listening to his favourite 1970s rock.
