For Jim, it’s all about the details. With over 30 years of experience focusing on technical project issues and management, he’s able to iron out even the most finicky of problems. His design sensibilities span his ability to collaborate with architecture and engineering teams, contributing to schematic design efficiencies and helping owners understand the impact that systems-wide decisions can have on cost.
His favorite part of the job is filling in the holes of schematic designs by methodically finding each element needed for construction documents. His work on Navy Pier helped shape one of Michigan’s major landmarks and promote urban living in downtown Chicago.
What better way to apply his attention to detail than by wood-working or other craft-based projects? Often working without detailed drawings, Jim appreciates gaining an understanding of his building materials and applies this approach to his work projects. He enjoys cycling and spending time with his wife and three grown boys.
