Growing up, Luis delighted in snorkeling, diving, fishing, sailing, and surfing, so he’s passionate about protecting our oceans for future generations to enjoy. In his professional life, this has translated to a decade of experience managing our coastal resources through providing coastal analysis, numerical modeling, design, planning, permitting, and construction management services.
Throughout his career, Luis has made it his mission to find viable solutions to complex coastal issues, supporting clients like the Texas General Land Office and numerous coastal counties on marsh habitat creation, shoreline erosion protection and restoration, and dredging projects, to name a few. He enjoys the challenge of working to combat coastal erosion, relative sea level rise, habitat loss, and ecological decline, as well as uniting stakeholders and mentoring team members in our collective effort to preserve and enhance coastal habitats.
Outside of work, Luis can be found enjoying the coastal environments that he’s devoted his career to protecting.
