After listening to a description of civil engineering on a high school career day, Joseph knew the direction his life would take—it resonated with everything he loved to do. Now, he has almost two decades of experience as a civil engineer in all kinds of projects—from interstates and interchanges, arterials and collector highways, and local roads, to bridge replacement projects. He also has experience with innovative intersections, including roundabouts, diverging diamond interchanges, and continuous flow intersections.
Joseph believes in giving back to the community that shaped him, and the most rewarding projects are the ones he’s worked on in his hometown of Lake Charles, Louisiana. These projects were the perfect opportunity to do just that. They include the Cove Lane and L’Auberge projects, West Prien Lake Road relocation, Nelson Road extension and bridge, and the Southwest Louisiana resiliency plan.
In his spare time—though he prefers to get strikes—Joseph likes to bowl. He’s been bowling since his dad introduced him to the game at the age of four.
