Dan has extensive experience in the right of way acquisition process for public projects, in all disciplines. He regularly works in compliance with the Federal Uniform Relocation Act and Virginia State Statutes to acquire right of way for public projects. Throughout this complex process, Dan’s oversees all phases of right of way acquisition.
He’s worked as a project manager as well as handled complex negotiations on a number of projects including the Virginia Capital Trail. His duties there included technical plan review and comments, negotiating for complex right-of-way takings on transportation projects, and providing written justification for increased offers and settlements. He handled detailed explanation of appraisal process, highway plans, profiles and cross sections, and eminent domain process. And, when it came time, he performed closings on real estate transactions.
When Dan’s not negotiating right of way, you can find him hunting, fishing, playing baseball, or spending time with his friends and family.
