Josh has been planning and executing ecosystem restoration projects in the Great Lakes region since 2002. As an environmental project manager, he helps lead our ecosystem restoration implementation group with his experience in site assessment, restoration planning, construction administration, and natural areas stewardship.
Working with clients to develop creative approaches to site access and project execution, Josh leads projects that result in economical, low-impact solutions—from the coastal ravines and bluffs of Lake Michigan to sensitive wetland, prairie, and woodland plant communities. Acting as project manager for shoreline stabilization work at the Openlands Lakeshore Preserve was a notable experience for Josh. Here, he led the coordination of work to preserve habitat for four protected plant species and protect one of the few remaining intact bluff and beach ecosystems in Illinois.
Outside of work, Josh spends a lot of time fishing the trout streams of the Driftless Area of Wisconsin as well as hiking, hunting, and exploring natural areas with his kids and friends.
