We recognize our BLK ERG, an employee resource group focused on the connection and development of Black colleagues and allies across Stantec
Because we create opportunities and understand the tremendous value of ensuring all our team members are empowered, supported, and heard, Stantec offers an array of Employee Resource Groups (ERG). As we celebrate Black History Month, we recognize our BLK ERG, which focuses on the connection and development of Black colleagues and allies across our company.
BLK ERG is founded on four key pillars that guide its efforts:
The group is led by Ryan White, PE, a senior transportation engineer based in Raleigh, North Carolina, and Brittany Stahl, PEng, a Stormwater team lead in Calgary, Alberta. As co-chairs, they help connect participants across offices, borders, disciplines, and business lines. They bring together a team of professionals excited to share their knowledge, experience, culture, and ideas.
One of those professionals is Ralph Abernathy IV, a financial analyst in Atlanta, Georgia. Ralph brings deeply personal ties to Black History Month as his grandfather was a beloved friend and ally of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Take a look as Ralph shares his family’s experience in the civil rights movement and what it means to him.
At Stantec, the ERGs are the dreamers and the doers; the collaborators and the connectors; and both leaders and learners. ERGs create the space where we share our stories and become a resource to all employees with the main objective of making a greater impact in our communities and supporting each other in our professional growth within Stantec. ERGs are open to all.
