Ryan has more than 20 years of experience in public involvement, transportation engineering and planning, and project management in the public and private sectors. He values stakeholder and community engagement as it can influence engineering decisions.
Having led stakeholder engagement for long-range plans and individual projects in urban and rural areas, Ryan’s variety of experience allows him to cross social and economic boundaries. He has led Public Involvement Plans that included in-person and virtual community meetings, the development and implementation of Community Advisory Councils, Technical Advisory Committees, and legislative body engagement. In addition to outreach, he has developed community impact assessments and led the development of aesthetic designs to address visual impacts to communities.
Outside of the office, you can find Ryan cycling the roads in Wake, Franklin, and Johnston Counties and spending quality time with his teenage son and wife.
