Ra is an unconventional thinker and action-oriented professional. Throughout her career, she’s worked in the education, non-profit, healthcare, public, and private sectors.
Relationships and trust are at the heart of her work each day. Ra enjoys connecting with the local community to understand their unique challenges and find effective solutions that create meaningful change. Working across a wide range of projects, she consults and engages with diverse populations, establishes relationships, and builds credibility with relevant organisations.
Making sure that all stakeholders feel heard—including marginalised groups and hard to reach communities—is Ra’s forte. Her work has enhanced relationships, resulting in effective communication with partners and stakeholders to streamline project outcomes. Rahini led the engagement for ethnic communities at Health New Zealand Te Whatu Ora in Wellington. For her work here, she received the COVID-19 Response Recognition Award from the New Zealand government.
Outside of work, Ra enjoys cycling and rowing and is a certified yoga instructor.
