As a principal modeller and the practice lead for network planning, Colin is responsible for providing technical and general guidance to our modelling team. Most known for wastewater modelling and strategy planning, lately he’s been more involved in stormwater modelling and plays a role in project reviews and client liaison. He also provides input into discipline strategy covering quality assurance, quality control, and training.
Colin enjoys team building and using innovative, creative thinking to take on project challenges—he likes thinking outside the ordinary to anticipate changes that take on future issues. He believes the use of in-sewer monitoring to assess changes in flows is key to successful network operation. It’s useful to identify if the assumptions for climate change, growth, and deterioration of the network are arising as expected or either sooner or later than projected.
When he’s not planning networks solutions, Colin enjoys lots of different activities—that include riding his motorcycle or travelling to distant places, looking for the perfect scene or wildlife to photograph.
