With over a decade of working in the geographic information system (GIS) space, Cillian brings varied experience in the application of spatial sciences across transport, development, economics, and disaster management—built on his history in planning, environmental management, and policy research. He uses agile project management practices to deliver customer-oriented data capture and visualisation solutions, information and data advisory services, and data automation.
Bringing his background and expertise together, Cillian led the development and rollout of a state highway asset maintenance project to improve health and safety. His team used mobile data capture, categorisation, assessment, and reporting of issues usually deemed minor to facilitate a standardised national view of these lower-classified risks for the first time. This outcome enabled fast and effective prioritisation, plus access to a national emergency works fund for remediation.
Outside of his work with our Water team, it’s family time for Cillian. He loves exploring the outdoors, taking in café mornings, and having regular beach days with his loved ones.
