Helping the university to evolve from a commuter campus to a residential hub
Student life services often serve as the heart of the campus, and at Armstrong Atlantic State University, a student success center was necessary to serve an increasing study body and help the University transition to a residential campus.
The new facility, with an addition and renovations designed by Stantec, provides a hub of activity on campus and connects the residential and academic quads. It also serves as the main food service space on campus for a la carte dining. Students, faculty, and others enjoy amenities that range from a bookstore, ballroom, lounge spaces, convenience store and coffee shop, to office space for student associations.
As the first green building on campus, a premium was placed on energy efficiency and the utilization of sustainable materials.
