Metrolinx Subways Program - Project Controls Services
In the City of Toronto, a growing population is driving the need to expand public transportation infrastructure. To address this need, Metrolinx, on behalf of the Government of Ontario, is moving forward with four priority subway projects that will add more than 40 kilometres (25 miles) of rapid transit service to the regional transportation network. The Ontario Line, Scarborough Subway Extension, Yonge North Subway Extension, and Eglinton Crosstown West Extension are part of the largest transit expansion in Canadian history.
We have a crucial role in this massive undertaking, delivering project control services for these four priority projects in partnership with Jacobs under the 360 Transit Alliance (360 TA). Our services include schedule management, risk management, quality management, project controls management, and estimating. We’re also providing document control functions, technical compliance, and project reporting.
All four projects are progressing, with the Ontario Line being the largest. Once in operation, the expanded transit service will provide fast, reliable travel options for thousands of riders in communities across the Greater Toronto Area. These investments will help reduce congestion on roads, lower greenhouse gas emissions, and improve access to jobs. By putting rapid transit closer to more people, the projects will support sustainable growth in communities across the region.
