Dedicating his entire career to healthcare planning and design, Mike has planned and led major healthcare projects in more than 20 states and in three countries. From intimate rural primary care facilities to greenfield multi-hundred bed healthcare campuses, he emphasizes a collaborative approach to traditional and alternative delivery methods.
Mike leads Stantec’s healthcare design teams with a focus on advanced medical planning and lean design. With more than 30 years of continuous and focused healthcare experience, he has deep knowledge in programming, medical space planning, healthcare service market analysis, and business and operational planning.
As Chair for the Lean Construction Institute (LCI) Congress Planning Committee, Mike champions lean design and construction methods across Arizona. He is also a certified instructor for LCI’s 11 training and education courses on lean design and delivery and a member of the National Practice Team. Also engaged in the Central Arizona Society for Healthcare Engineering, Mike is a prolific public presenter on critical healthcare topics.
