As Regional Leader for Continental Europe, Pieter is responsible for managing operations and ensuring continued success in the Netherlands, Belgium and Italy. There, he leads our strong network of professionals, while collaborating across disciplines, clients, and geographies to bring environmental and infrastructural projects to life throughout Europe and Africa.
Pieter joined Stantec after having spent 15 years with KPMG Advisory (Risk Management) and 10 years with the Dutch police force in Amsterdam. At Stantec, he holds an important role with our Inclusion and Diversity Council. Pieter cherishes inclusion and diversity—he loves finding ways to manage and appreciate differences while helping to avoid a dominant culture that overshadows unique individual preferences and capabilities, and his work on the Council helps ensure that can happen.
