Though based in California, Octavio supports projects all over the world, including the United States, Latin America, and the Middle East. His mission is to guide his global energy clients in the generation of the most attractive and optimized projects to diversify energy offerings.
Octavio believes in accelerating the incorporation of low- or no-carbon energy and progressing in clean fuels technology—like hydrogen and ammonia, while maintaining production and utilization of traditional hydrocarbon fuels (including carbon capture), to avoid disruption our communities’ energy supply. He recently led hydrogen production and utilization projects, including providing the engineering for a project using forest and agricultural biomass to generate hydrogen and biochar, and a project to produce and store hydrogen to be used as in a microgrid as energy backup. Octavio has also led several carbon capture and sequestration studies to evaluate CO2 capture, compression, and transport, and discussion of applicable standards and regulations.
Outside of work, Octavio likes to travel and loves to spend time with friends and his three kids: with one in Madrid, one in London, and one in Los Angeles.
