Derreck is an architect and integral part of our Buildings team with expertise in strategic programming planning, analysis, design, and visualization. He works on projects in the post-secondary education, commercial mixed-use, healthcare, transportation, airports, and industrial sectors.
Drawing on his understanding of how architecture can inform user experience, Derreck incorporates social and collaborative elements into his designs. One of his notable projects includes the LEED Gold certified Centre for Clean Energy and Automotive Innovation at Vancouver Community College. He also worked on the Wood Innovation Research Laboratory, the first Passive House certified industrial and higher education building in North America.
When he isn’t busy designing efficient and welcoming facilities, Derreck enjoys snowboarding, surfing, and traveling.
