Inspired by the love of the outdoors, Joel believes the health of our communities directly correlates with the health of ecosystems and watersheds where we live, work, and play.
In his role as principal and practice lead within our Environmental Services group, Joel sees the impact he and a growing team of over 180 professionals have on the lives of people every day. The team provides ecological surveys, natural resource permitting, mitigation and conservation banking, water resource engineering, and ecosystem restoration services. Joel also applies his technical knowledge to helping clients with grant writing and oversight of various ecological restoration projects.
When he isn’t providing nature-based solutions, Joel centers his free time around family life with his wife and two kids. As a former college athlete, he is enjoys working with numerous youth sports organizations including coaching a state-ranked travel baseball team.
