During her time in ecological consultancy, Tiana has focused on habitat creation and enhancement following biodiversity net gain, particularly for rivers. Having worked on and managed numerous habitat bank projects, she’s provided prescriptions for restoring and enhancing both terrestrial and aquatic habitats. She has also assisted environmental charities in finding ways to use biodiversity net gain as a source of funding for their work and regularly undertakes a range of ecological assessments for both terrestrial and aquatic habitats.
Tiana has conducted scientific research in both tropical and temperate ecosystems. Outside the United Kingdom, she’s spent time in the Amazon rainforest performing ecological surveys to monitor species populations, behavior, and human impacts, contributing to its conservation. Passionate about using nature-based solutions, she believes that creating a healthy natural environment is the key to our health.
In her free time, Tiana enjoys going to scientific talks or conferences to expand her way of thinking. She also regularly volunteers with restoring degraded chalk streams in South London.
