Roadways are the backbone of our communities, and David knows that to build better communities, we need to increase mobility for all. As our north Roadways sector lead, he makes sure that the roadway projects we plan and design always keep that in mind.
David has worked on a wide variety of transportation projects, including bus rapid transit, light rail transit, traffic operation studies, corridor studies, and roadway design. He draws on this diverse experience to ensure that our project teams, from engineers to project managers, are planning and designing for all roadway users. This often leads to developing innovative solutions that achieve the end goal of better mobility options for vehicles, pedestrians, and transit alike. On the MAX Purple Bus Rapid Transitway (BRT), David and his team were able to redesign the roadway for more users, creating greater travel options and minimizing impacts to businesses along corridor.
Though a longtime resident of Calgary, David grew up near Philadelphia, whose sports teams are still near and dear to him—he’ll catch an Eagles game whenever he can. He also loves spending time outside with his three boys and enjoys books by Simon Sinek.
