Jonathan specializes in desktop and in-field investigations and analyses of landslides. His expertise includes building debris flow inventories, characterizing debris flow attributes, calibration and modeling of debris flow runout in DebrisFlow Predictor, and characterizing post-fire debris flow terrain.
In his career as a geoscientist, Jonathan has worked on landslide hazard and risk maps for such areas as Grizzly Creek, Cameron Peak, and Chaffee County in Colorado, Jacob City in Utah, and Devil’s Gate watershed and Sierra Madre debris dam in California. He’s also helped develop post-fire recovery curves for several of these areas.
Additionally, Jonathan serves as a drone pilot for our Geohazards team and provides geographic information system services for projects. And when he isn’t finding innovative ways to model geohazards, he’s on the hunt for the best rock shop in Colorado.
