As executive vice president and chief growth and innovation officer, John oversees the activities of Stantec’s five business operating units with a focus on strategic growth initiatives and campaigns, client relationships and development, management and development of key accounts, and client service initiatives. He also serves as a member of our Disclosure Committee.
John has been involved in more than 100 projects around the world in both the municipal and industrial sectors over the past 25 years. He earned his bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the University of New Brunswick and his masters in water resources engineering from the University of Alberta. In addition to his diverse and extensive Stantec portfolio, John is a member of and has been involved with professional organizations such as the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta, the AZ Water Association, the Water Environment Federation, and the US Water Alliance, where he currently serves on the board of directors.
John has an active commitment to community and volunteers on the executive leadership council of Water For People as well as multiple organizations focused on delivering education, training, and micro-loan funded support for entrepreneurial business start-ups in the growing and thriving refugee and immigrant community in southern Arizona.
