As an architectural designer in our education sector, James is passionate about creating spaces that promote learning. In his position, he works with our project architects to develop building designs from concept through construction, attends user meetings and design workshops, produces presentation materials, and contributes to education pursuits.
James firmly believes that the key to success is collaboration. Including a diverse cross-section of stakeholders like students, staff, and faculty, as well as owners and building operators, ensures that there are a variety of user opinions taken into design consideration. He brings a graphic sensibility to design work that distills complex ideas into something clear and accessible to everyone—this approach ensures everyone involved can follow decisions being made and provide meaningful input, which ultimately affects building design at every stage of development.
On a sunny summer afternoon, you’re likely to find James relaxing on the beach at Toronto Island. In the winter, he’s been known to sneak away to the Montreal area for some prime skiing.
