Doug always knew what he wanted to work in the environmental field. An internship as an ecologist at the University of Maine segued into a job conducting ecological investigations at one of the largest Superfund sites in the US. Now, over two decades later, he continues to work with this client evaluating restoration success and the long-term environmental management of the site.
Doug is especially drawn to complex projects which require an alliance between scientific and business knowledge to bring success to our clients. His focus is on growing the topline at Stantec. His primary focus areas include risk assessments, ecological impact assessments, permitting, spill response, and natural resource damage assessments. He is particularly proud of the projects that utilize multidisciplinary teams—uniting science, engineering, and client relationships to create personalized solutions.
Doug loves spending time at Moosehead Lake enjoying its incredible ecological diversity. On the weekend, if he’s not at his kid’s soccer, lacrosse, and baseball games, you’ll find him trapping some fresh lobster or going fishing.
