Matt has dedicated his entire career to protecting the coastlines and waterways along the Gulf of Mexico. He has more than 20 years of experience in coastal engineering, beach nourishment, dredging, shoreline stabilization, ecosystem restoration, and wildlife biology.
With a keen understanding of his region’s coastal needs, Matt has worked on projects along the shorelines of Florida, Mississippi, Alabama, Louisiana, Texas, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, and Virginia. He’s been supporting our Florida clients to develop resilient coastal solutions in response to sea level rise and climate change on shoreline restoration and beach re-nourishment projects. The key to a successful project? Assessing and understanding the risks, creating effective modeling options, then planning solutions to mitigate future sea-level rise impacts.
As a principal and our southeast coastal engineering team leader, Matt lives and breathes coastal engineering even when he’s not at work—he loves his time boating and fishing in Florida.
