Driven by his passion for teamwork, Jason works with his team to deliver thoughtful architectural design to his community and every project he touches. His design philosophy is holistic—he aims to design and deliver beautiful, high-quality projects while supporting elemental factors such as technology, sustainability, and social vitality. Working predominantly with the educational sector and post-secondary institutions, he’s dedicated to improving the experience of teachers and students through his work.
Recently, Jason led the team that completed Nahoonai-a, a student housing building for Indigenous students at the College of New Caledonia in British Columbia. He also worked with the Ministry of Advanced Education and Skills Training to develop a report that examined student housing projects across the province. His report analyzed the successes and lessons learned throughout the course of those projects, identified optimum outcomes, and how college and university campuses may benefit from new development.
In his leisure time, Jason is an avid kayaker. His excursions are usually multi-day adventures and have included areas up and down British Columbia’s wild coast—the Broughton Archipelago, Nootka Island, and Brooks Peninsula.
