Hal grew up in south Florida with a love for the ocean, Everglades, rivers, and streams. He then focused his career to best protect our natural resources—water and wastewater. Reuse of treated biosolids, wastewater, and technologies to treat and beneficially reuse these resources have been his mainstay.
As Wastewater practice director for our US South region, Hal is responsible for strategic planning, business development, project execution, mentoring younger staff, and revenue growth. He likes to think of himself as a well-rounded engineer—one that sees the importance of listening and understanding goals to make a mark in our industry. Forty years ago, Hal started his career working on an indirect water reuse project—he hopes that by his career’s end, direct potable reuse will be second nature.
Outside of work, Hal’s passions include baseball, fly fishing, golf, hiking, kayaking, and traveling. He and his wife have an adorable Havanese that shares their love of being on the water.
