Approaching 20 years of being a bridge engineer, Alex has learned that an attention to detail paired with simple design solutions are the keys to delivering a successful project. As a senior structural engineer, his everyday responsibilities include all aspects of bridge design and project management.
Alex appreciates working on all types of structures and projects, from large interstate widening projects like Interstate 83 in York, Pennsylvania, to local City of Pittsburgh bridge replacements and everything in between. Each project poses unique challenges, and he welcomes the opportunities and lessons learned from each one.
In his spare time, Alex spends time with friends and family, most notably his two energetic sons—keeping them busy is another full-time job! He stays active outside through hiking and backpacking, riding bicycles or motorcycles, and playing sports.
