David has always enjoyed history, the outdoors, and learning about cultures different from his own. What better way to combine these passions than a career in archaeology?
For the past 15-plus years, David has performed archeological reconnaissance, survey, testing and data recovery, and all associated analysis and reporting for projects in Texas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, California, and Belize. From power lines to parks and water systems to roadway improvements, he supports public and private clients and also works on purely academic endeavors. He’s authored and co-authored hundreds of reports for projects carried out under the provisions of Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act and the Texas Antiquities Code.
Archaeology is a field that relies on ethics, and David dedicates himself to upholding its values. His goal is to find solutions that protect our shared history and culturally sensitive resources, while working within project limitations.
