With experience in the water industry and a background in construction management and academia, Dominic has worked in several areas but always finds himself drawn to thinking creatively. As a civil engineer for our Water group, he carries out investigative work, compiles calculations, and is called upon to check technical outputs.
Dominic is focused on hydraulic modelling and currently working on the outline design of a new clean water treatment plant. Prior to this, he was involved in another clean water scheme that reduced chemical byproducts by improving the treatment processes—this achieved an agreed outline solution delivering 30% cost savings and 40% carbon reduction on the previous proposal. During his time in clean water networks, Dominic led a team that delivered a programme of works involving more than 40 projects reducing leakages in north England.
In his spare time, Dominic enjoys playing the guitar, swimming, climbing, and calisthenics. He also enjoys writing and reading—philosophy and other non-fiction are favourites.
